Senior Product Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Develop applications across the entire stack: Create modern frontend applications utilizing TypeScript and React. Design and implement backend services using Python and Go. Construct clean, thoroughly tested APIs that facilitate complex engineering workflows. Contribute to system architecture with a focus on scalability, reliability, and security.

• Address Genuine Customer Challenges: Collaborate directly with product managers, designers, and occasionally customers to grasp real-world workflows. Transform ambiguous user requirements into well-considered technical solutions. Rapidly iterate, validate assumptions, and enhance features based on user feedback.

• Enhance Developer & AI Tools: Create internal and customer-facing developer tools, SDKs, and workflow automation systems. Incorporate AI functionalities (LLMs, retrieval systems, copilots) into product experiences. Assist in enhancing CI/CD processes, local development environments, and overall engineering productivity.

• Function in Mission-Critical Environments: Develop systems that operate reliably in secure, regulated, or air-gapped settings. Balance speed with accuracy, performance, and long-term maintainability.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of professional software engineering experience.

• Extensive experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and contemporary frontend frameworks (e.g., React).

• Proficient in building backend systems using Python, Go, or similar programming languages.

• Proven ability to deliver full-stack features from start to finish.

• Product-oriented: you strive to comprehend the “why,” not just execute tasks.

• Comfortable navigating ambiguity and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.

• Must be a US citizen residing within the United States.

• Experience in developing developer tools or products aimed at technical users.

• Experience with integrating AI into software products (LLMs, embeddings, AI-assisted workflows).

• Background in aerospace, defense, digital engineering, or other regulated sectors.

• Familiarity with secure or air-gapped environments.
