This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Collaborate closely with the Engineering Manager, Tech Lead, QA Engineer, and Product Manager to devise solutions for feature requests.
• Lead the development of thorough documentation for new feature implementations, utilizing diagrams for a comprehensive understanding of projects.
• Champion the creation and execution of sophisticated tests for new features, ensuring the highest levels of test coverage and reliability.
• Exhibit proficiency in crafting well-architected, efficient, and scalable code by employing industry-standard design patterns and methodologies.
• Assume a leadership position in code reviews and pair programming sessions, offering guidance and mentorship to colleagues towards achieving excellence.
• Spearhead and actively engage in tech talks, workshops, and team-based learning initiatives, ensuring effective dissemination of knowledge across the team.
• Significant and proven experience with Object-Oriented programming languages and software development.
• Substantial experience in software development, particularly with PHP.
• Advanced comprehension and application of best practices and software engineering principles, such as SOLID and DRY.
• Proficient in relational database technologies.
• A proactive problem-solving mindset combined with a strategic approach.
• Demonstrated experience in designing and developing APIs and services within a service-oriented architecture.
• Leadership capabilities shown through collaboration and mentorship.
• A team-oriented individual, eager to assist others when required, with a driven personality who actively engages in discussions and asks questions.
• Proficient in written and spoken English to effectively convey ideas, as our headquarters is located in London.
• Previous experience with enterprise solutions and large-scale systems (Bonus skills).
• Familiarity with Scrum methodology or other agile development processes.
• Experience in cloud computing.
• Knowledge of Docker and containerization.
• Awareness of best software practices such as Refactoring, Clean Code, Domain-Driven Design, and Test-Driven Development.
