Senior Product Developer – Mainframe, C++, C, Assembler

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +5 more locations.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, test, maintain, and deliver solutions and product lines for BMC AMI DevX Code Pipeline.

• Code, troubleshoot, and resolve bugs.

• Generate high-quality design alternatives and perform code and design evaluations.

• Stay updated on mainframe environments, industry trends, and associated software technologies.

• Collaborate directly with global clients to address complex product-related issues and escalations.

• Provide mentorship and technical direction to members of the development team.

• Serve as a subject matter expert in C, C++, Assembler, JES2, z/OS internals, ISPF Panels, CLIST, and JCL.

⛳️ Requirements

• 8-10 years of experience with the z/OS Environment, including its internals.

• 8-10 years of experience in IBM coding and development.

• Extensive experience in C and C++ for system-level development.

• Proficient in HLASM, CLIST, and JCL.

• Strong background working with JES2.

• Familiarity with the IBM Mainframe environment, including TSO/ISPF, JCL, Db2, and VSAM.

• Experience with critical dump analysis using IPCS, XDC, and similar tools.

• Skilled in developing functional code that utilizes low-level operating system functionalities.

• Ability to create functional designs/specifications based on business requirements.

• Extensive experience in troubleshooting complex issues at both application and systems levels.

• Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

• Must reside in the United States or Canada.
