Senior Product Designer, Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Contribute to the product and design strategy for Coinbase's infrastructure tools.

• Create user interfaces and interaction patterns for data-heavy, workflow-intensive enterprise tools, such as visual workflow builders, configuration management systems, and real-time dashboards.

• Oversee the complete design process for the development release pipeline, providing engineers with insight into the production pathway.

• Design the Engineering Standards Scorecard, which encompasses reliability, security, and paved-path adoption for individual contributors, directors, and VPs.

• Conduct iterative design cycles involving ideation, prototyping, internal user testing, and refinement based on qualitative feedback and operational metrics.

• Collaborate with Engineering leadership and standards owners across Coinbase to establish a unified service-catalog data model and ingestion strategy.

• Independently clarify ambiguous problem areas for engineer-focused tools and develop roadmaps informed by research and usage statistics.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 7 years of professional product design experience, including ownership of end-to-end flows from discovery to launch.

• Proven history of designing enterprise solutions for intricate workflows, ideally catering to both technical and non-technical users.

• Exceptional skills in UX thinking and systems design.

• Capability to influence product strategy and roadmaps in close collaboration with Product and Engineering teams.

• Proficiency in visual design, interaction design, and prototyping.

• Strong experience in cross-functional communication and stakeholder management.

• Background in designing technical, engineer-oriented, or data-intensive systems, such as internal tools, development platforms, or governance and compliance tools.

• Ability to excel in a fast-paced and sometimes ambiguous environment.

• Proficiency in Figma and contemporary prototyping tools.

• Experience leveraging AI tools to enhance exploration, prototyping, or expedite delivery.

• Responsible utilization of generative AI with human oversight.
