Senior Product Designer – Contract

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.

📋 Description

• Producing outstanding work by committing to the craft, engaging in critique, and refining through iteration

• Performing generative research and disseminating research findings

• Facilitating workshops and conducting Design Thinking exercises

• Developing personas and mapping user journeys

• Executing workflow diagramming, wireframing, site mapping, prototyping, usability testing, and design documentation

• UX/UI design tailored for specific audiences (ensuring 508/WCAG compliance)

• Reviewing and suggesting improvements for design elements

• Articulating design choices to clients

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in research, UX & UI Design, and digital product design is preferred

• A Bachelor's or Master’s degree in UX/HCI, Information Architecture, or similar fields is advantageous but not mandatory

• Demonstrated success in enabling businesses and users to thrive with digital products

• Experience in developing research and user experience design strategies, which include user interviews, prototyping, user testing, and beyond

• Proficient in creating design systems

• Skilled in developing industry-leading UI for web and mobile applications

• Experienced in advising product teams on design strategies for large, agile projects

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills that are clear, concise, accurate, and persuasive

• Capable of working creatively within project constraints and possibilities

• Ability to manage competing priorities and overlapping deadlines effectively

• Familiar with industry-standard tools such as Figma, UserZoomGo, Miro, and Condens

• Knowledgeable about web and mobile paradigms, as well as commonly used frameworks like Drupal, WordPress, iOS, and Android

• Ability to thrive in an agile, fast-paced environment, collaborating closely with engineers, data analysts, product owners, and business stakeholders
