This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Lead the design and implementation of strategic initiatives, creating comprehensive experiences that benefit our customers and align with key business goals.
• Work collaboratively with Product and Engineering teams to assess customer requirements, explore design alternatives, and deliver value-added solutions.
• Directly engage with customers to gather feedback and integrate it throughout the design process.
• Shape strategy and produce well-designed solutions that enhance the efficiency, safety, and sustainability of our customers’ operations.
• Oversee large-scale, complex projects, delivering high-impact designs that generate substantial value for both customers and the business.
• Partner closely with product and engineering teams on strategy development, planning, and execution.
• Interact directly with customers to comprehend their needs, validate design concepts, and inform strategic decisions.
• Mentor and influence the design team, actively participating in the development of our organizational culture.
• Advocate for and embody Samsara’s cultural principles as the company expands globally across new locations.
• Over 6 years of experience in product design, specializing in UX/UI for web and mobile applications.
• Demonstrated expertise in both interaction and visual design.
• A robust portfolio and/or case studies that highlight design skills and the ability to address user challenges with measurable outcomes. Applications without a portfolio cannot be considered at this time.
• Proven ability to utilize AI tools (e.g., Cursor, Figma Make) to streamline workflows, enhance creativity, and prototype effectively.
• A history of strategic influence and delivering impactful results.
• Strong capability to effectively engage with customers for research and strategy development.
• Excels in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
• Extensive experience collaborating with cross-functional teams.
