This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada, +1 more state.
• Create comprehensive experiences, encompassing journey maps, user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs.
• Organize and execute internal usability testing as well as external validation with partners and merchants.
• Develop and uphold design systems across NMI’s product offerings.
• Evaluate designs against competitors and pinpoint areas for enhancement.
• Utilize AI tools such as v0, Cursor, and Figma AI to expedite prototyping, synthesize research, and experiment with design variations.
• Support the creation of customer-engagement materials, conference organization, and special initiatives for Payment Gateway products.
• Work collaboratively with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to uncover opportunities and convert user insights into scalable design solutions.
• Oversee greenfield and redesign initiatives for technical B2B workflows and Payment Gateway products.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in designing B2B digital products and systems.
• A strong portfolio showcasing the design process, range of work, and its impact.
• Familiarity with financial products, APIs, or transaction systems, preferably payment gateways or similar B2B SaaS platforms.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate across functions and effectively present design decisions and processes.
• Excellent verbal and visual communication skills.
• Capability to distill complex technical and payment concepts into user-friendly experiences.
• Proficient in Figma with experience in building and maintaining design systems.
• Working knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and their practical applications, including regulated payment workflows.
• Required hands-on experience with AI tools like v0, Cursor, ChatGPT, Midjourney, or similar for tasks related to design, prototyping, or research.
• Background in conducting user research and usability testing, with the ability to translate insights into actionable designs.
• Submission of an online portfolio link, an example of AI-tool application in a recent project, CV, LinkedIn profile, and a statement of interest in NMI.
• Successful completion of background and financial checks is required for employment.
• Must have the legal right to work in the United States where applicable.
