This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Articulate how AI agents assist security and compliance teams in achieving significant results with enhanced clarity, control, and trust.
• Oversee the complete design process for agent harness projects from problem identification and exploration through to launch and iteration.
• Specify how agents, skills, tools, and memory are structured, displayed, and comprehended by customers.
• Craft workflows that allow customers to assign security and compliance tasks while retaining visibility, control, and assurance.
• Develop frameworks for reviewing, amending, approving, interrupting, and recovering from work generated by agents.
• Design interaction models for conversations and agent engagements across Vanta, Slack, and various platforms.
• Set standards and principles for reliable agent behavior, encompassing transparency, permissions, uncertainty, explainability, and graceful failure.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to determine when the use of an agent is suitable.
• Perform customer discovery and usability tests with security, compliance, and GRC users.
• Convert customer feedback, requirements, technical limitations, and AI quality considerations into design guidance.
• Work alongside Design Systems and product designers to develop reusable AI frameworks.
• Produce design briefs, workflow models, prototypes, specifications, and various other design documentation.
• Articulate design rationale, trade-offs, risks, and suggestions to cross-functional teams and leadership.
• Engage in design critique and elevate standards for interaction design, information architecture, UX writing, and visual craftsmanship.
• Assist in shaping responsible AI and human oversight throughout the product.
• Identify ways to enhance collaboration between the design team and product groups.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in product design.
• Expertise in B2B SaaS, intricate workflows, or other advanced software products.
• Proven experience in designing AI-driven products, automation, or systems with dynamic or uncertain behaviors.
• Capability to design agent experiences that extend beyond chat, including agents, skills, tools, memory, and multi-stage workflows.
• Background in designing products that necessitate human judgment and decisions regarding human involvement in automated processes.
• Experience creating designs across various surfaces, including Slack, terminal environments, or other external interfaces.
• Strong skills in product thinking and discovery.
• High proficiency in interaction design, information architecture, UX writing, and visual design.
• Excellent collaboration skills with Product, Engineering, Research, Data, and customer-facing teams.
• Thoughtful approach to responsible AI, focusing on transparency, data control, human review, explainability, and rectification of incorrect or incomplete outputs.
• A portfolio showcasing completed work, intricate workflows, significant trade-offs, and insights gained from customers or users.
• Ability to navigate between systems-level thinking and detailed interaction design.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to influence cross-functional partners without formal authority.
• Curiosity, sound judgment, and comfort in emerging product environments.
• Regularly utilizes AI in daily tasks and applies sound judgment to ensure the quality of AI-assisted work.
