Senior Product Builder, Merchant Onboarding

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Define, design, and develop comprehensive proof-of-concept features for the Merchant Onboarding sector.

• Generate technical documentation, wireframes, and schemas, which include employee-centric permission rulesets, mockups for table mapping, and customization of modifiers.

• Create product evaluation criteria ("evals") prior to feature development to confirm solutions and assess success metrics.

• Engage in direct user research with merchants and sales associates.

• Transform user insights into actionable solutions within a matter of hours.

• Track competitor release schedules and innovations in point-of-sale technology.

• Utilize advanced LLM APIs and AI coding agents for product exploration, code generation, and functional prototyping.

• Enhance product delivery speed across North’s payment processing and merchant services platform.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree (BA or BS) or an equivalent level of experience.

• Over 8 years of experience in roles such as Product Manager, Product Engineer, Product Analyst, or other related technical product positions.

• High proficiency with LLM APIs, prompt engineering, and AI-assisted coding tools.

• Strong user empathy developed through direct engagement with merchants and underwriting teams.

• Solid technical foundation with skills in SQL, JavaScript, and REST/web APIs.

• Demonstrated experience collaborating with Agile software development teams.

• High proficiency with Jira and contemporary product management tools.

• Familiarity with payment hardware ecosystems, such as card readers, POS terminals, and kiosks.

• Practical experience in native or cross-platform mobile development for iOS and Android.

• Product Owner Certification (CSPO, etc.) is preferred.

• Experience in the payments or fintech industry is highly desirable.

• Must be eligible to work in the US; sponsorship is not available for this role.
