Senior Product Analytics Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain scalable ELT pipelines and data models focused on product usage and event telemetry.

• Collaborate with Product Engineering to establish the canonical product data layer and standardized product usage definitions.

• Assist in defining taxonomies, certifying metrics, and documenting governance, including an AI/machine-readable structure.

• Create and manage the semantic layer along with self-service Product Analytics data models.

• Oversee data quality monitoring and identify anomalies within product usage data.

• Develop pipelines and models tailored for expansion and upsell cohort metrics, covering usage thresholds, feature adoption, and seat utilization.

• Set analytics standards and facilitate tooling enablement with data teams throughout the organization.

• Communicate technical data concepts and their business implications to engineering teams, non-technical stakeholders, and leadership.

• Promote engineering best practices within Product Analytics data assets.

• Ensure tools and data flows adhere to US Federal frameworks, including FedRAMP, DoW IL4/5, and classified workloads.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline.

• Over 7 years of experience in data engineering and analytics.

• Proficiency in advanced SQL.

• Practical experience with dbt and/or government-approved alternatives.

• Proven track record in building production data pipelines and analytics/dashboards for stakeholders.

• Ability to translate vague business requirements into governed and well-documented data models.

• Experience collaborating with product/engineering teams on instrumentation and source data design.

• Knowledge of data governance or metrics-certification processes.

• Familiarity with Tableau, Looker, or Power BI.

• Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure platforms.

• Proficient in Git-based workflows and CI/CD for data pipelines.

• Experience incorporating AI into coding/development workflows.

• Familiarity with operating in federally compliant organizations and systems at FedRAMP, IL4/5, and classified levels.

• Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.
