Analytics Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany, +2 more countries.

📋 Description

• Create, develop, and sustain scalable analytics data models using dbt.

• Construct reliable transformations from raw product data into business-ready datasets.

• Implement testing, validation, and documentation within the analytics framework.

• Define, document, and uphold trusted business metrics throughout the organization.

• Advance a scalable semantic layer to enable consistent reporting and self-service analytics.

• Collaborate with Product and Growth Managers on A/B testing, funnels, retention strategies, and customer insights.

• Develop measurement frameworks for product launches and feature rollouts.

• Create dashboards and reports utilizing Power BI, Hex, or internal AI tools.

• Mentor stakeholders in utilizing self-service analytics to uncover insights.

• Develop AI-enabled analytics workflows and facilitate company-wide AI integration.

• Work closely with teams across Product, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Leadership.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive hands-on experience in constructing analytics data models with dbt or similar transformation frameworks.

• Solid understanding of dimensional modeling.

• Proficient SQL skills.

• Experience handling large analytical datasets.

• Familiarity with cloud data warehouses like Amazon Redshift.

• Proven experience in creating dashboards and self-service reports using Power BI or comparable BI tools.

• Knowledge of experimentation frameworks and product analytics.

• Practical experience with Claude or similar AI assistants, including the establishment of MCPs and the use of AI coding tools.

• Experience promoting AI adoption within a team or organization.

• Capability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences and convert data into actionable recommendations.

• Must be based in, and authorized to work in, the country where the position is advertised.

• No visa sponsorship or relocation assistance is available.

• Preferred: experience in developing semantic layers or self-service analytics platforms.

• Preferred: strong Python skills for data processing and automation, such as with pandas.

• Preferred: familiarity with Airflow and experience using Athena.

• Preferred: experience with Google Analytics 4, GrowthBook, or Avo.

• Preferred: background in a modern B2B SaaS environment.
