This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +17 more states.
• Take full ownership of the compliance obligations for your designated areas, interpreting regulatory and reporting updates and converting them into clear, prioritized requirements.
• Develop the requirements, acceptance criteria, and test cases for your work items, as well as writing and executing those test cases.
• Manage vendor and agency relationships for your respective areas, representing Aeries directly with state and federal agencies, as well as compliance partners.
• Cultivate customer relationships in your areas by anticipating needs, communicating changes, and resolving escalations effectively from start to finish.
• Prioritize tasks across your areas and make independent trade-off decisions, escalating only conflicts that span multiple areas.
• Advocate for the adoption of AI tools within the team to enhance research, requirements gathering, and testing processes.
• Collaborate closely with engineering to develop high-quality fixes, reports, and compliance features.
• Provide informal mentorship to Junior Product Analysts by sharing domain expertise and reviewing their work.
• Extensive knowledge of federal (CRDC) and TX/CA state reporting (TSDS, PEIMS, TREX, SAAH, CALPADS), with a preference for Texas state reporting.
• Over 5 years of experience working with SaaS applications, ideally within a student information system.
• Demonstrated ability to manage compliance areas and maintain agency/vendor/customer relationships autonomously.
• Proficient in SQL and query analysis; comfortable with data evaluation to inform decisions.
• Experienced in writing user stories (Gherkin), defining acceptance criteria, and developing and executing test cases.
• Strong skills in requirements analysis, documentation, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Active user and proponent of AI tools within the team.
• Good judgment and the ability to work independently while adapting to change.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, data, computer science, economics, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience in schools and SIS is a plus, with Aeries experience being preferred.
• Knowledge of Ed-Fi is preferred.
• Familiarity with SQL Query and/or Postman is preferred.
• Experience with Agile methodologies.
