This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.
• Our client operates a health benefits platform catering to individuals, families, and small businesses nationwide across all 50 states.
• We are seeking a Senior Process Engineer to enhance our process engineering capabilities beyond just execution capacity.
• This role offers genuine autonomy: you will be assigned to a specific business area (claims, billing, enrollment, customer experience) and will take full ownership of the complete process: diagnosing, designing with Six Sigma/Lean methodologies, implementing, and demonstrating results quantitatively.
• You will report directly to our EVP of Operations, a Six Sigma Black Belt, and will approach real operational challenges using the same methodologies and tools, with actual budget responsibilities and visibility.
• You are expected to identify and engage the appropriate stakeholders independently; no pre-provided contact list will be given.
• You will focus on diagnosing the fundamental root cause rather than merely addressing reported symptoms.
• The solution design will utilize DMAIC, 5 Whys, fishbone diagrams, process mapping, and will be validated prior to execution.
• You will implement the solutions personally, coordinating the necessary cross-company collaboration to bring it to fruition.
• You will receive a target rather than a detailed brief, with the expectation of delivering a functional outcome.
• Within your first 90 days, you will manage five concurrent workstreams.
• Your responsibilities will include onboarding and communication rollouts, proactive claims-status updates, and conducting thorough manual-process audits and root-cause assessments from scratch.
• A Six Sigma Black Belt is strongly preferred (Lean Six Sigma Black Belt is a plus); candidates with equivalent independent RCA/DMAIC leadership experience are encouraged to apply.
• A minimum of 8 years in process improvement, industrial engineering, or business operations is required.
• A proven track record of independently leading RCA/DMAIC projects from diagnosis through to implementation, rather than facilitating others' plans.
• Strong skills in process mapping and documentation (using tools like Visio, Lucidchart, or similar).
• Comfortable collaborating with a data analyst to transform raw data into dashboards, SLAs, and metrics. While you won't build the data pipeline, you will know what constitutes a good metric.
• Excellent written and spoken English skills; you will be presenting directly to leadership based in the U.S.
• Must be fully available during U.S. Central Time business hours.
• Experience in healthcare, insurance, or benefits is advantageous but not mandatory; substantial experience in business, digital, or remote work is an acceptable alternative.
• Must possess a laptop or desktop that meets minimum specifications: 16GB RAM, i7 operating system.
• Ability to maintain a distraction-free home office environment.
• Dual monitors are a plus.
• A reliable high-speed internet connection with a minimum speed of 15 MBPS is required.
• Full-time availability, with a commitment to a 40-hour workweek.
• Competitive Compensation: Earn a base monthly salary of $3500.
• Generous Paid Time Off (PTO): Accumulate up to 12 Paid Time Off days annually, providing flexibility for personal and vacation needs.
• Paid Holidays: Enjoy paid time off for recognized U.S. Holidays.
• Full-Time Remote Work: Experience the flexibility of a full-time work-from-home position, allowing you to establish a comfortable and efficient workspace at home.
