Senior Private Cloud Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.

📋 Description

• Plan, implement, and provide support for private cloud solutions following industry best practices.

• Develop both high-level and low-level design documentation, including procedural guidelines.

• Install and configure private cloud infrastructures, encompassing HCI and software-defined networking.

• Deliver technical support and resolve issues while ensuring timely customer feedback in accordance with Service Level Agreements.

• Oversee patching and upgrade initiatives for private cloud environments.

• Evaluate new technologies, determine suitable use cases, and spearhead proof-of-concept projects.

• Keep up-to-date with private cloud solutions through documentation and laboratory testing.

• Maintain necessary certifications.

• Collaborate effectively with team members and solutions architects to provide suitable customer solutions.

• Conduct thorough health checks, generate reports, and evaluate deviations from established best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in VMware environments.

• Specialization in virtualization.

• Proven consulting skills, preferably from roles as a Consultant or Architect.

• Experience in designing and implementing VMware-based SDDC architectures.

• Proficient in analyzing and troubleshooting root causes in virtualized settings.

• Practical experience with vSphere, vSAN, SRM, vROPS, vRLI, or Nutanix.

• Experience with the installation, updating, and management of physical racks, including UCS, HP, and DELL.

• VCP-DCV certification is highly preferred.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• A strong desire for teamwork, dedication, eagerness to learn, and advancement in hybrid cloud technologies.

• Familiarity with infrastructure networking and SDN, including Cisco switches and routers, Juniper devices, FortiGate, NSX-V, and NSX-T is advantageous.
