Senior Principal Technical Solution Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the complete application architecture for humanoid robots.

• Establish reusable software platforms that encompass robotics, AI, voice, cloud, and edge systems.

• Make key technical decisions concerning robotics frameworks, operating systems, and SDKs.

• Steer proof-of-concept projects towards production-ready customer implementations.

• Work in collaboration with robotics OEMs, technology partners, and interdisciplinary engineering teams.

• Create scalable and modular software architectures for applications related to humanoid robots.

• Assess and choose robotic software frameworks and developer SDKs.

• Work closely with mechanical and electrical engineering teams.

• Ensure that deployed solutions comply with reliability, observability, maintainability, security, and operational standards.

• Lead, mentor, and assist a small, agile startup team of developers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Profound understanding of Navigation & Localization (SLAM, Nav2).

• Expertise in Manipulation & Motion Planning (MoveIt2).

• Knowledge of Perception Pipelines, Sensor Fusion, and Robot Middleware.

• Demonstrated experience in designing cyber-physical systems that operate under computational constraints.

• Advanced proficiency in C++ (17/20) and architectural design skills in Python.

• Strong command of Linux (Ubuntu/Debian).

• Over 3 years of experience managing engineering teams in startup, R&D, robotics, or dynamic product development environments.

• More than 8 years of experience in robotics, autonomous systems, industrial automation, physical AI, or complex cyber-physical settings.
