Senior Principal Software Engineer

📋 Description

• Design, architect, and implement scalable, secure, and maintainable software systems that meet business objectives, creating flexible, reusable, and efficient solutions.

• Analyze root causes of challenges, evaluate upstream and downstream impacts, and propose effective, far-reaching solutions while taking corporate strategy and trade-offs into account.

• Oversee cross-functional collaboration for the development of GHX's next-generation Item Catalog, Data Services, and OPs tooling, which are essential enterprise-level initiatives.

• Direct cross-functional teams to implement an AI-first approach for Ops Tooling and Data Services, enhancing quality and reducing costs in alignment with enterprise objectives.

• Engage with cross-functional stakeholders, including Product Owners, Ops, Security Leaders, and Infrastructure Leaders, to understand their needs and devise solutions that address them.

• Generate well-articulated documentation, including approach presentations, architecture/design diagrams, wiki content, and epics/features.

• Create practical, actionable, production-grade guideline content and utilize it to steer teams towards best practices in architecture, design, development, and testing, while mentoring team members and fostering a collaborative atmosphere.

• Cultivate and maintain strong business relationships to influence decision-making and promote innovative solutions across teams.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 15 years of experience in architecting, designing, and developing enterprise software systems and data services within the data space is required.

• Over 15 years of experience in designing and implementing technological solutions using Java and/or Python languages in cloud environments.

• Expertise in Backend Services and Data architectures/technologies such as MDM, Matching, Sync/Async/Batch Microservices, Ops tooling, Data Replication, Messaging/Eventing, Orchestration/Workflow, and API Styles.

• Skilled in applying Unit Testing, Code Coverage, API Testing, Performance, Scalability, and Resilience techniques, including tenancy aspects/techniques such as Single-Deployment/Multi-tenant.

• Proficient in security aspects/techniques/technologies such as DAST, SAST, Endpoint Security, Secrets Management, Encryption, and Logging Aggregation.

• Familiarity with Data Governance aspects/techniques/technologies including Classification, Licensing, Rights, Privacy, Sovereignty, Retention/DLM/ILM, Data Quality, Data Standards, Obfuscation, Catalog, and Metadata.

• Experience working in Agile SDLC environments.

• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively on multiple overlapping projects, demonstrating effective organizational skills to switch priorities as needed.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent communication skills.
