Senior Principal, Medical Science Liaison – VitRet

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Deliver scientific and clinical information regarding Alcon products.

• Collect external insights to shape company strategies.

• Establish and nurture peer-to-peer relationships with medical professionals and key opinion leaders.

• Facilitate the development and acceptance of Alcon products through evidence-based scientific exchanges.

• Provide general medical information to healthcare practitioners and Alcon associates.

• Address unsolicited inquiries for medical information.

• Engage in scientific discussions concerning Alcon product data.

• Execute medical projects and oversee investigator trials from initiation to publication.

• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of Alcon products and current medical/scientific research.

• Collaborate with Medical Information and Medical Safety to address escalated product complaints and medical safety concerns.

• Participate in adverse event reporting and monitoring of safety responsibilities.

• Direct phase III and IV human clinical trials, ensuring adherence to protocols and assessing study completion.

• Provide reporting data for submissions to regulatory agencies.

• Act as a medical consultant for marketing, commercial, research, and regulatory teams.

• Serve as a consultant/liaison with corporations under licensing agreements.

• Approve product safety reviews.

• Collaborate with Medical Affairs and departments such as Commercial, Quality Assurance, Research and Development, Regulatory Affairs, and Market Access.

• Adhere to GxP regulations, SOPs, documentation, quality control, and required training.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of directly related experience.

• Alternative qualification: high school diploma plus 15 years of directly related experience.

• Alternative qualification: associate degree plus 11 years of directly related experience.

• Alternative qualification: M.S. plus 4 years of directly related experience.

• Alternative qualification: PhD plus 3 years of directly related experience.

• Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.

• Proficiency in reading, writing, understanding, and communicating in English.

• Willingness to travel 75% of the time.

• Familiarity with GxP regulations and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

• Compliance with applicable laws, industry standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
