Senior Principal, Design Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Hampshire.

📋 Description

• Define intricate AI/ML infrastructure platform solutions and lead a diverse team to implement them successfully.

• Engage extensively during EVT, transitioning to reduced involvement afterward.

• Ensure that overall design quality metrics are achieved.

• Cultivate and maintain strong technical relationships with suppliers and partners regarding product roadmaps and technologies.

• Lead technical responses for RFQs and contribute to the development of Celestica platform concepts as needed.

• Provide thorough trade-off analysis and competitive insights to engineering teams and clients.

• Deliverables consist of System Requirements Documents (SRD), compliance assessments, and technical proposals.

• Serve as the primary technical liaison between Celestica and our clients, especially during technical escalations.

• Offer technical support to business development teams to facilitate the acquisition of new business opportunities.

• Participate in the selection and recruitment of design team personnel as necessary.

• Identify and advocate for process improvement initiatives as required.

• Engage in standards committees and industry groups as assigned.

• Prepare and deliver technical presentations to clients, industry groups, trade shows, and other relevant audiences.

• Stay updated on industry trends and future technology and market prospects.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

• At least 10 years of experience in Server and/or AI/ML accelerator hardware design.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in AI Infrastructure system design.

• Proficiency with Nvidia, AMD, and/or Intel GPU accelerators and their support systems.

• Proven experience in architecting and delivering server/storage/converged products to market successfully.

• Exceptional customer presentation abilities.

• Ability to interface and collaborate with large OEM customers on ongoing product-related issues and new product design concepts.

• A comprehensive understanding of current digital and analog components.

• Successful track record in New Product Introduction (NPI) launches.

• Extensive knowledge of system-level power, cooling, mechanical, software/firmware, and electrical design integration and engineering trade-offs.
