Senior Principal Data Governance Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +3 more locations.

📋 Description

• Represent the DSG function in a senior role during department leadership and multi-disciplinary team meetings.

• Direct the DSG strategy for data governance within their areas of expertise.

• Execute the Enterprise Data Governance Framework within Statistical Programming.

• Ensure compliance with data governance policies and best practices within the IDASP group.

• Educate DIPS group members on domain-specific and technical subjects.

• Work alongside data owners, consumers, and partner functions to implement data governance.

• Collaborate with partner functions on modern data platforms for clinical trial data pipelines, warehousing, and cataloging.

• Offer insights on data quality metrics for key deliverables.

• Assist in the development of department SOPs and guidelines related to clinical programming.

• Supervise the activities of internal contract programmers and external vendors.

• Engage in vendor qualification and selection processes.

• Provide estimates of time and resources for planning activities.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 7 years of experience in clinical trial data governance and clinical statistical programming.

• At least 3 years of experience in a leadership role focused on governance and implementation.

• In-depth knowledge of clinical trial data privacy and information governance guidelines and best practices.

• Strong understanding of the drug development process and the regulatory submission process, including NDAs/BLAs.

• Proficient in data engineering, data standards, data modeling, and modern data platforms such as Snowflake.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Life Sciences, or other relevant scientific disciplines.
