This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Evaluate product usage, deal, financial, and billing data to create models for pricing, packaging, and monetization scenarios.
• Develop frameworks to gauge willingness to pay, customer value, and price realization across various customer segments and product lines.
• Perform research on pricing strategies, packaging models, and monetization tactics within comparable and adjacent markets.
• Lead the pricing and packaging strategy for new product launches, collaborating with Product, GTM, and Finance to establish commercial models.
• Construct value-based pricing and econometric models to assess elasticity, customer ROI, and lifetime value.
• Design and implement pricing experiments.
• Integrate quantitative analysis, customer research, and competitive intelligence into executive recommendations that shape pricing strategy.
• Conduct customer and prospect research to gain insights into purchasing behavior, value perception, and pricing friction.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Analytics, Finance, Sales, Marketing, and Legal to execute comprehensive pricing initiatives.
• Establish KPIs and dashboards to measure pricing performance and pinpoint optimization opportunities.
• Continuously refine our pricing and packaging strategy to enhance ARR growth, customer adoption, and value realization.
• 5–8 years of experience in designing or managing SaaS or complex B2C pricing models, ideally with experience in usage-based or behavioral pricing.
• Strong quantitative skills—an advanced degree (PhD/MSc) in Economics, Statistics, Operations Research, Applied Math, or a related field.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python for extensive data analysis; familiarity with BI tools such as Looker or Tableau; experience with dbt is a plus.
• Practical experience with conjoint, MaxDiff, Gabor-Granger, or Van Westendorp surveys, along with causal experiment design.
• Exceptional attention to detail and data analysis capabilities, including the ability to interpret results and recommend actions.
• Demonstrated success in translating complex models and analyses into actionable recommendations that positively impact ARR, gross margin, or NRR.
• A collaborative approach with Product, Analytics, Finance, Sales, and Legal; adept at navigating from brainstorming sessions to contract negotiations effortlessly.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence at the executive level.
