• Work closely with Product, Commercial, Marketing, Finance, Sales, and other functional teams to guide pricing decisions, integrate competitive insights, and enhance pricing processes.
• Utilize sound judgment to address moderately complex pricing issues across products, markets, sales strategies, and customer segments.
• Employ data analysis, internal benchmarks, and limited external resources to formulate recommendations.
• Persuade cross-functional stakeholders by articulating pricing consequences, market trends, and customer insights to aid in strategic decision-making.
• Create and sustain dashboards, reporting frameworks, and KPI tracking for essential pricing metrics (e.g., price realization, ASP, discount behavior, margin performance).
• Develop clear and concise presentations and pricing reports for senior leadership, highlighting insights, trends, and recommendations.
• Continuously monitor pricing performance, conduct post-implementation reviews, and pinpoint optimization opportunities.
• Offer Deal Desk support by analyzing complex or non-standard subscription deals and ensuring compliance with pricing policies and margin guidelines.
• Execute comprehensive market research, customer segmentation, competitor analysis, and willingness-to-pay studies to inform pricing decisions and identify opportunities or risks.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of industry trends, competitive positioning, and commercial best practices, and communicate their relevance to pricing strategy.
• Assist in the development and deployment of comprehensive pricing processes—from strategic design to operational execution, governance, and technology enablement.
• Design and uphold robust pricing strategies and models that align with product roadmaps, business unit goals, and market dynamics.
• Build and maintain pricing models, calculators, profitability analysis tools, and pricing assumptions to support subscription (ARR) offerings, tier design, and migration incentives.
• Develop pricing feedback mechanisms to consistently integrate insights from the field and market.
• Lead the execution of pricing strategies and updates across systems, documentation, and go-to-market teams.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college with a minimum of 5+ years of experience in a pricing analyst, financial analyst, or business intelligence role, ideally within a software or technology company.
• Alternatively, a High School Diploma accompanied by additional relevant work experience (4+ years) with at least 5+ years in a pricing analyst, financial analyst, or business intelligence role, preferably in a software or technology environment.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership abilities.
• Capability to document, plan, market, and implement programs.
• Proven project management skills.
• Ability to make decisions with an imperfect information base, relying on pragmatism and logical reasoning.
• Experience as a business user/analyst handling large-scale data with meticulous attention to detail.
• Highly motivated, independent individual with a focus on execution and a strong sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment.
• Capacity to both directly execute tasks and prioritize the workload of a cross-functional team.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI) and CRM/CPQ systems (e.g., Salesforce) is advantageous.
