This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.
• In the role of Principal Pricing Analyst, you will act as the internal pricing expert for Unit4, covering the entire Unit4 Product Portfolio.
• You will spearhead the formulation and implementation of Unit4's AI pricing strategy, establishing a predictable and commercially viable framework for monetizing our AI capabilities.
• Your responsibilities will include overseeing price modeling and packaging from initial launch through discount governance, driving pricing transformation, and mentoring junior staff while enhancing pricing skills throughout the organization.
• You will be tasked with creating, documenting, and maintaining pricing principles, discount governance frameworks, and approval policies that guarantee consistency, commercial integrity, and scalability across the enterprise.
• Additionally, you will build and manage a commercially viable AI pricing roadmap focusing on dynamic pricing, value-based segmentation, and price optimization.
• Conducting advanced quantitative pricing analyses will be part of your role, which includes price elasticity modeling, profitability analysis by vertical and region, customer willingness-to-pay research, and competitive benchmarking across Unit4's four core verticals and primary geographies.
• Demonstrated thought leadership in SaaS pricing, with deep, practitioner-level expertise in subscription pricing models, usage-based pricing, value-based pricing, and packaging strategies.
• A proven track record of managing and delivering complex pricing projects that yield clear, measurable commercial outcomes.
• Strong understanding of SaaS business economics, including ARR, NRR, churn, LTV, CAC, and ARPU, along with the ability to link pricing decisions directly to financial results.
• Experience in conducting market research, competitive pricing analysis, and customer willingness-to-pay assessments within a B2B SaaS environment.
• A proven ability to engage and persuade senior stakeholders through thorough analysis, well-structured recommendations, and a clear commercial narrative.
• An understanding of the relationship between pricing strategy, product strategy, sales approach, and competitive dynamics, as well as the ability to balance revenue and margin objectives with customer value perception.
• Proficient in financial modeling and data analysis (Excel is essential; familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools is strongly preferred); comfortable working with large, complex datasets to extract pricing insights.
• Utilizes market data, customer analytics, and commercial metrics to inform recommendations.
• Capable of distilling complex pricing analyses into clear, compelling recommendations for non-technical senior audiences; a confident author and presenter of business cases.
• Builds credibility and trust with cross-functional partners across Product, Sales, Finance, and Customer functions; adept at navigating competing priorities diplomatically and constructively.
