Senior Press Officer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design and implement media relations strategies that align with clients’ communication and reputation goals;

• Identify opportunities for stories and create pertinent story concepts, angles, and content;

• Establish and nurture strong relationships with journalists, editors, columnists, and media outlets at local, regional, and national levels, including those specific to the client’s industry;

• Draft press releases, story pitches, statements, Q&As, briefings, key messages, and various other communication materials;

• Prepare spokespersons for interviews and facilitate media training sessions;

• Attend interviews, events, and media interactions;

• Monitor industry trends and developments for clients, pinpointing communication risks and opportunities;

• Evaluate risks and support communication strategies during crises and sensitive situations;

• Measure media outcomes, analyze performance metrics, and compile reports with recommendations;

• Collaborate with various client teams to ensure alignment, responsiveness, and high-quality deliverables.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Journalism;

• Must reside in Belo Horizonte or within a municipality in the Belo Horizonte Metropolitan Region (RMBH);

• Proven experience in press relations and corporate communications;

• Skilled in handling complex topics, sensitive issues, and diverse market sectors;

• Experience in industries such as mining, steel, energy, manufacturing, and infrastructure;

• Proficiency in integrated communications, incorporating digital channels and social media;

• Advanced or fluent proficiency in English;

• Advanced English skills for participating in meetings and reviewing materials.
