Senior Premium Auditor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Plan and execute Final or Service audits of voluntary policyholder business records.

• Assess earned premium through accurate classification and measurement of insurance risk exposures.

• Perform timely service audits with new policyholders to evaluate risk exposure and determine service requirements.

• Review claims to confirm claimant employment and ensure correct claim classification.

• Review and process service and final audits from both staff and contract auditors.

• Act as a liaison between policyholders, brokers, and departments to resolve audit-related disputes.

• Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external partners.

• Offer consultation and technical support to finance, underwriting, marketing, producers, and policyholders.

• Stay updated on state board, bureau, and jurisdictional rules and regulations.

• Communicate audit findings and risk conditions to relevant stakeholders.

• Schedule audit appointments and manage assignments with minimal supervision.

• Handle workload, work-in-process, and progress documentation efficiently.

• Work remotely across all U.S. states and conduct in-person audits upon client request.

• Provide mentorship to lower-level positions and assist in training new employees.

• Carry out additional duties as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience.

• 5 years of relevant experience.

• Experience working from a home office.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office software applications.

• General business acumen and understanding of insurance products.

• Ability to learn and articulate Core Specialty’s underwriting philosophy and practices.

• Business background with familiarity in basic accounting concepts.

• APA or CPCU designation is preferred.

• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
