Senior Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design and develop the agent runtime, orchestration engine, and the systems that support Agent Studio.

• Create tools for defining agents based on written procedures, facilitating reasoning, actions, and guardrails.

• Manage real-time voice infrastructure, encompassing WebSockets, STT/TTS integration, interruptions, disconnections, transfers, and telephony integrations.

• Develop enterprise trust capabilities, including RBAC, access management, audit logs, data isolation, and integrations tailored for complex client environments.

• Oversee the DeepEval-driven evaluation suite, allowing for conversation replay, scenario simulation, experimentation, and A/B testing of agent behavior.

• Enhance Reflect observability to ensure agent decisions are traceable, highlighting regressions, drift, and emerging conversation patterns.

• Link evaluation and observability insights to drive agent improvements and establish new evaluation cases.

• Manage Kubernetes and ArgoCD-driven GitOps deployments, CI/CD processes, and SigNoz observability.

• Construct self-serve infrastructure for engineering teams.

• Lead incident response efforts and conduct postmortems.

• Collaborate directly with the founder on architectural decisions, overseeing the process from design through production and incident management.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of practical experience in building and operating production systems.

• Strong foundation in backend and distributed systems.

• Demonstrated experience with cloud platforms, infrastructure as code, and container orchestration.

• Experience in running Kubernetes in a production environment.

• Knowledge of latency budgets, streaming, backpressure, and live audio conversations.

• Familiarity with observability tools such as SigNoz, OpenTelemetry, or similar solutions.

• Experience in incident response, including root-cause analysis and enhancements following incidents.

• A degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.

• High agency and the ability to drive results in a high-autonomy environment.

• Preferably experience with enterprise features like SSO, RBAC, IAM, audit logs, data isolation, or compliance-related systems.

• Preferably production experience with LLMs, agent frameworks, retrieval systems, or evaluation systems.

• Preferably exposure to telephony or streaming audio technologies, including Twilio, WebRTC, SIP, or contact center integrations.

• Preferably experience with large-scale data systems, analytics platforms, or ML-powered product functionalities.

• Preferably background in building developer platforms, SDKs, or internal tools.

• Preferably leadership experience in technical projects or teams.
