Cloud Platform Support Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Take charge of investigating and resolving intricate technical challenges impacting the Wind River Cloud Platform (WRCP).

• Deliver senior-level assistance for customer escalations, ensuring that issues are evaluated, prioritized, and actively pursued until resolution.

• Examine system logs and technical data to pinpoint root causes and formulate clear corrective measures.

• Troubleshoot systems across cloud operations, Linux administration, virtualization technologies, and enterprise infrastructure settings.

• Provide support for containerized environments utilizing Docker and Kubernetes.

• Assess interactions among WRCP components, container environments, virtualization technologies, and the foundational infrastructure.

• Employ a methodical, architecture-aware strategy to troubleshoot high-reliability and safety-critical software environments.

• Offer technical guidance during complex investigations by setting troubleshooting direction, coordinating analyses, and communicating findings to pertinent stakeholders.

• Convert recurring support challenges into actionable technical insights that enhance investigation consistency and platform reliability.

• Record technical findings, root causes, and resolution strategies for ongoing senior-level product support initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• 10–14 years of pertinent professional experience in senior-level technical support, cloud infrastructure, platform operations, or similar roles.

• Extensive experience in supporting and troubleshooting the Wind River Cloud Platform (WRCP).

• Strong expertise in cloud operations, virtualization technologies, Linux administration, and enterprise infrastructure.

• Solid background in Docker and Kubernetes.

• Proven experience managing senior-level customer escalations, root-cause log analysis, and system debugging.

• Recent hands-on experience with DO-178C projects where applicable.

• Experience in safety-critical or high-reliability software architectures.

• Comprehensive and verifiable experience with WRCP, Linux, and container environments as reflected on the resume.

• Eligibility to work under the stated requirement for US Citizens.

• Bachelor's degree.
