This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist in the implementation of the Internal Developer Portal and play a role in its development and operation as a product, ensuring real user engagement, adoption metrics, and a strategic roadmap.
• Create a dependable service catalog that includes ownership details, relationships, and automated ingestion from source-of-truth systems.
• Develop integrations that link the portal to cloud accounts, CI/CD systems, secrets management, and internal APIs.
• Contribute to shaping the golden path framework while creating templates, scaffolding, standards, and guardrails with built-in networking, security, observability, and compliance features.
• Establish Infrastructure Provisioning golden paths as reference implementations.
• Provide support to other teams through practical examples, documentation, collaborative work, and contribution reviews.
• Redesign existing pipelines, internal user interfaces, and documented processes as portal-focused journeys.
• Collaborate with tool-owning teams to secure buy-in and phase out outdated tools.
• Enhance platform readability for AI coding agents using structured metadata, documented interfaces, and user-friendly tooling.
• Validate golden paths against frequently encountered workflows, assist with onboarding, and prioritize initiatives based on identified friction points.
• Assist in developing scorecards for platform and compliance standards and collaborate with teams to address identified gaps.
• Over 5 years of experience in Platform Engineering, Infrastructure, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering.
• Proven experience with shared services utilized by multiple teams.
• Strong expertise in AWS, encompassing IAM, multi-account setups, and EKS.
• Experience with Terraform and Kubernetes.
• Proven ability to build reusable CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficient programming skills in at least one modern programming language.
• Experience in developing or enhancing an internal developer portal, developer platform, or similar self-service tools; alternatively, relevant automation experience with a clear motivation for the role.
• Skilled in transforming fragmented internal capabilities into cohesive, self-service solutions.
• Familiarity with TypeScript and React, or equivalent application development experience in another modern language and framework.
• Capable of taking features or workstreams from design to production and ongoing support.
• Daily fluency in utilizing AI coding assistants and agentic tooling.
• Interest in protocols accessible to agents, such as MCP.
• Experience working within regulated environments, including practices for change control, access reviews, and automating audit evidence.
• Excellent technical writing skills, encompassing design documents, ADRs, and operational documentation.
