Senior Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the complete architecture of the Core Platform, encompassing backend services, SDKs, AI-driven components, and associated infrastructure.

• Design and implement scalable APIs, event-driven systems, distributed services, and capabilities integrated with AI (including AI/ML and MCP integrations).

• Architect systems that effectively incorporate AI models into production settings, with a strong focus on observability, latency, cost management, and failure handling.

• Lead the design and implementation of APIs, prioritizing usability, performance, and long-term maintainability.

• Architect and advance microservices using principles of domain-driven design.

• Develop platform abstractions and primitives that facilitate AI-driven workflows and agent-based functionalities.

• Collaborate closely with Product, Infra, and Customer Success teams to provide seamless, customer-focused integration capabilities.

• Offer technical leadership, mentorship, and architectural direction to engineers.

• Establish and enhance engineering best practices across design, development, testing, and operations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional experience in software engineering.

• Demonstrated experience in building scalable, reliable, and secure distributed systems, including those that integrate AI/ML functionalities.

• Proven ability to incorporate AI-powered features into production systems, with a grasp of performance, reliability, and governance considerations.

• Extensive expertise in REST API design and implementation.

• Experience in designing and managing event-driven architectures.

• Strong coding abilities across various layers of the stack (backend services, SDKs, developer tools, and AI-integrated systems).

• Solid understanding of microservices architecture and domain-driven design.

• High proficiency in Python (both object-oriented and functional programming).

• Experience with Golang and TypeScript is preferred.

• Proven record of technical leadership, mentorship, and collaboration across functions.

• Exceptional communication skills with the capability to influence at both technical and strategic levels.

• Must be a US citizen residing within the United States.
