Senior Full Stack Engineer – Video Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Create and sustain full-stack applications utilizing JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, and React.

• Design and construct scalable backend services, APIs, and asynchronous workflows.

• Engage with browser technologies and intricate frontend application workflows.

• Develop applications that function in cloud-native and containerized settings.

• Diagnose and fix production issues spanning frontend, backend, databases, and infrastructure.

• Enhance application performance, scalability, reliability, and security.

• Work with SQL databases, covering schema design, migrations, indexing, and query optimization.

• Take part in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical design meetings.

• Produce clean, maintainable, and thoroughly tested code.

• Boost system observability through monitoring, logging, dashboards, and operational documentation.

• Collaborate with engineering teams distributed globally.

• Mentor fellow engineers and contribute to best engineering practices.

• Utilize AI-assisted development tools responsibly to enhance productivity and code quality.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in English (both written and spoken).

• Over 5 years of professional experience in software engineering.

• Strong expertise in JavaScript and TypeScript.

• Solid backend development skills using Node.js (NestJS, Express, or comparable frameworks).

• Robust frontend development experience with React and contemporary web technologies.

• Experience in designing and implementing production APIs and distributed systems.

• Comprehensive understanding of asynchronous programming concepts, including promises, async/await, queues, retries, and event-driven architectures.

• Significant experience with SQL databases, preferably PostgreSQL.

• Familiarity with cloud and containerized environments.

• Experience in monitoring, observability, and troubleshooting of production systems.

• Capability to work independently and take full ownership of projects from design to delivery.
