Senior Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Design and develop backend solutions for essential services utilizing Python and Terraform.

• Create and enhance GenAI/agentic solutions, including RAG, tool-calling agents, and evaluation loops, on AWS Bedrock.

• Contribute to frontend interfaces using React/Vite.

• Optimize and sustain cloud-native applications to ensure scalability, performance, and reliability.

• Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to devise tools that enhance process efficiency and automate repetitive tasks.

• Contribute to service improvements that align with business goals and adhere to technical best practices.

• Develop and expand Caylent’s internal AI-native platform encompassing process automation, GenAI/agentic tooling, and delivery enablement.

• Share expertise and mentor team members while addressing the needs of internal stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in developing Generative AI solutions; must have created at least one straightforward AI-powered feature or application from start to finish and be familiar with the AI SDLC.

• Strong proficiency in Python for backend development.

• Experience in deploying and managing services within a cloud-native environment.

• Experience with frontend development (React/Vite) for constructing user interfaces.

• Must have current legal authorization to work in Mexico; Caylent is unable to sponsor visa or work permit applications.

• Preferred: familiarity with AI/ML model integration and AI platforms like AWS Bedrock.

• Preferred: experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing frameworks.

• Preferred: experience with Rust.

• Preferred: understanding of business processes related to process optimization and SG&A efficiency.
