
Senior Platform Architect β Microsoft Azure Fabric

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
β’ Design and take ownership of the comprehensive architecture for the Microsoft Fabric platform, encompassing OneLake, Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, Data Factory, Real-Time Analytics, and Power BI.
β’ Create scalable, secure, and high-performance data platforms utilizing contemporary cloud-native architecture principles and medallion data models.
β’ Define and execute DevOps methodologies, incorporating Git integration, CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments, testing, and environment management.
β’ Develop reusable infrastructure, deployment templates, and automation frameworks by applying Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) practices.
β’ Establish governance frameworks, security measures, access controls, and compliance standards throughout Microsoft Fabric environments.
β’ Enhance platform performance, manage workloads, and optimize capacity utilization while promoting cost governance and operational efficiency.
β’ Collaborate with data engineers, analytics teams, and business stakeholders to establish scalable development standards and architectural best practices.
β’ Lead migration efforts from legacy data platforms to Microsoft Fabric, ensuring minimal disruption and maximum reliability.
β’ Create monitoring, observability, alerting, and incident response processes to ensure platform availability and performance.
β’ Mentor engineering teams on Microsoft Fabric architecture, DevOps practices, cloud engineering best practices, and operational excellence of the platform.
β’ Over 9 years of experience in Data Platform Architecture, Cloud Engineering, DevOps, or Enterprise Data Engineering.
β’ Strong hands-on experience with **Microsoft Fabric**, including OneLake, Data Factory, Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, Power BI, and Real-Time Analytics.
β’ Proven track record in designing scalable enterprise data platforms on Microsoft Azure following modern cloud architecture principles.
β’ In-depth knowledge of DevOps, Git-based workflows, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure-as-Code, and deployment automation utilizing Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
β’ Comprehensive understanding of data lake architectures, Delta Lake, medallion architecture, data governance, security, and access management.
β’ Experience in optimizing Microsoft Fabric capacity, performance, cost management, and workload monitoring.
β’ Proficient in technologies such as PySpark, Spark SQL, Python, T-SQL, or KQL for data engineering and platform development.
β’ Experience in integrating Microsoft Fabric with Azure services, APIs, automation platforms, and enterprise applications.
β’ Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and technical leadership skills, with the capability to convert complex architecture into viable business solutions.
β’ Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Engineering, or Azure Architecture certifications, along with experience in regulated enterprise environments, will be seen as a significant advantage.
