This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Take ownership of customers' readiness for production and activation from the moment of purchase until stable production is achieved.
• Lead the initial production workflow to minimize time to production.
• Establish best practices for reliability, failure management, scaling, upgrades, alerting, and operations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve the most challenging technical tickets for customers, eliminating activation hurdles.
• Enhance customer cost efficiency and performance metrics.
• Develop and implement KPI-driven success strategies linked to production outcomes.
• Set standards for technical patterns, training, governance, and operational readiness.
• Collaborate with Professional Services, Support, Partners, and internal teams to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.
• Manage technical risks, migrations, and architectural liabilities.
• Establish and confirm reliability, observability, and operational standards.
• Monitor health signals and take proactive measures when necessary.
• Facilitate technical reviews, readiness assessments, and maturity evaluations.
• Certify teams and workloads as ready for production.
• Recognize growth opportunities and collaborate with customers, Growth AEs, and Solution Architects to enable new workloads.
• Convert production success stories into technical narratives for renewals and expansions.
• Champion customer needs and real-world usage patterns within the organization.
• Must be located in the United Kingdom, with a preference for London.
• A minimum of 6 years of experience in professional software engineering or solutions engineering.
• In-depth understanding of distributed systems, workflow orchestration, and reliability engineering concepts.
• Proficient in at least one modern programming language, including Go, Java, TypeScript, or Python.
• Experience in building, deploying, and managing production systems at scale.
• Skilled in debugging complex technical challenges and guiding customers to resolutions.
• Strong customer engagement abilities and capacity to articulate technical concepts to varied audiences.
• Experience in creating technical documentation, runbooks, and educational materials.
• Ability to work autonomously while fostering collaboration across teams.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for customer interactions and team gatherings.
• Nice to have: Experience with Temporal or similar workflow orchestration platforms.
• Nice to have: Familiarity with observability tools and practices for distributed systems.
• Nice to have: Background in professional services, technical consulting, or solutions engineering.
• Nice to have: Knowledge of Kubernetes, cloud platforms, and infrastructure-as-code tools.
• Nice to have: Contributions to open-source projects or involvement in developer communities.
