This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +3 more states.
• Act as a strategic People Partner for leaders within a designated portfolio of programs and departments, taking responsibility for advancing the people agenda and talent strategy.
• Collaborate with leaders and the People Team to formulate and implement people strategies pertaining to performance management, organizational design, change management, employee engagement, and workforce planning.
• Ensure a smooth People Team experience by coordinating and influencing key partners across Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, People Operations, and Employee Experience to fulfill both business and employee needs.
• Provide coaching and guidance to leaders to enhance team effectiveness, leadership skills, and overall organizational performance.
• Oversee the annual compensation, performance review, and talent planning processes, while promoting engagement, diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) objectives along with other people-related initiatives.
• Collaborate with People Team specialists to create and execute DEI strategies, programs, metrics, and solutions that foster an inclusive workplace.
• Convert organizational strategy into talent plans by identifying upcoming workforce needs and partnering with leaders to attract, develop, retain, and deploy talent.
• Proactively evaluate organizational requirements and spearhead change initiatives that align team structures, talent, and capabilities with business priorities.
• Propel long-term organizational and talent strategies, focusing on organizational design, leadership effectiveness, and change management efforts to enhance impact and scalability.
• Utilize HR technology and people analytics to discern trends, inform decisions, and proactively tackle workforce challenges and opportunities.
• Track and enhance key people metrics, including engagement, retention, diversity, inclusion, learning, and leadership effectiveness.
• Lead workforce planning initiatives, collaborating with leaders to anticipate talent needs and synchronize hiring and talent strategies with organizational goals.
• Provide assistance with Recruitment as needed.
• 12+ years of progressive experience in Human Resources, encompassing workforce planning and acting as an HR Business Partner (HRBP) or similar strategic people-facing role.
• Proven success in supporting international operations with a global workforce.
• Experience in navigating highly complex organizational structures.
• Expertise in organizational design and effectiveness, change management, performance management, total rewards, and compliance.
• Comprehensive understanding of HR practices, policies, and employment law.
• Skilled in data-driven problem-solving, pinpointing root causes, and securing leadership support for resolutions.
• Strong interpersonal skills that promote collaboration and effective coaching.
• Proficient in managing differences to create inclusive environments and teams.
• Proven ability to juggle multiple priorities and cultivate relationships at all organizational levels.
• Experience in making decisions in ambiguous, fast-paced, and collaborative environments.
• Prior experience with energy/climate-change or mission-driven organizations is a plus.
• Familiarity with recruiting functions, including talent acquisition processes and workforce planning strategies.
