Senior Payroll Specialist – International Payroll Environment

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Finland.

📋 Description

• You will be responsible for the overall payroll management of your clients and act as a trusted expert for them.

• You will work in an international environment where English is the primary language used daily.

• You are accountable for the entire end-to-end payroll process for the client.

• You will handle and process salaries, as well as ensure the reporting of payroll data to accounting.

• You will prepare statutory reports and reconciliations for the income register.

• You will be responsible for customer service related to payroll matters.

• You will draft Kela applications and other employment-related inquiries.

• You will advise clients on employment, collective agreements, and labor law issues.

• You will collaborate with the team to develop processes and operational methods.

• You will work closely with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• Several years of experience in payroll tasks with the ability to manage the payroll process independently.

• Experience with the Mepco system.

• Excellent English language skills, both written and spoken.

• Fluent in Finnish.

• Strong Excel skills.

• Ability to grasp new collective agreements and interpret labor legislation.

• Outstanding collaboration and customer service skills.

• Ability to manage your own work and prioritize effectively in high-pressure situations.

• Active use of AI tools in your work is considered an advantage.

• Experience with international payroll situations will be viewed favorably.

• Experience in handling stock options is considered a plus.

• A proactive and solution-oriented approach to work is regarded as an asset.
