This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.
• Oversee payroll operations and associated activities.
• Supervise the corporate payroll team and allocate workloads effectively.
• Develop and manage processes necessary to achieve payroll processing goals.
• Coordinate the preparation, filing, and payment of payroll taxes.
• Ensure payroll processing is accurate and timely.
• Train internal payroll personnel.
• Prepare tax gross-ups for relocations, special payments, and related IRS documentation.
• Maintain payroll tax files and manage correspondence with state and local tax authorities.
• Collaborate with ADP and tax agencies on tax research initiatives.
• Audit requirements for state and local tax withholding.
• Ensure that complex internal payroll actions are executed accurately.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in reports or data identified by Colleague Resources and Finance.
• Provide education to Colleague Resources staff on payroll-related matters.
• Deliver and uphold high-quality customer service to internal clients.
• Administer company personnel policies.
• Conduct interviews, hiring, performance development plan establishment, and performance evaluations.
• Offer support, guidance, leadership, and motivation to encourage optimal performance.
• Contribute to the organization’s quality programs.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is strongly preferred.
• A minimum of eight (8) years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
• At least five (5) years of payroll experience is required.
• One (1) year of experience in multiple-state tax reporting is required.
• Supervisory experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with ADP Enterprise payroll processing system, ADP WGPS service, and/or ADP eTime processing system is preferred.
• Comprehensive knowledge of payroll functions and multiple-state tax regulations.
• Outstanding oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills.
• Proficiency with PCs, including Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong leadership, management, and motivational abilities.
