Senior Payment Reimbursement Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.

📋 Description

• Direct the contracting and payment procedures for all vendors utilized by managed sites.

• Examine, reconcile, and authorize intricate vendor invoices, including those featuring medical terminology, drug names, and CPT codes.

• Supervise the transition of high-volume vendors to data file submissions and establish optimal payment schedules.

• Review HCFA/UB vendor claim forms and manage transitions to data file submissions.

• Assess vendor contracts and coverage analysis documents to inform research against standard-of-care reimbursement.

• Address complex billing discrepancies with vendors, sponsors, and internal stakeholders.

• Forward processed SCRI vendor data to the Data Integrity team for sponsor reimbursements.

• Submit processed vendor data and completed check requests to the Accounts Payable team.

• Cultivate business relationships with departments, sites, vendors, sponsors, and CROs, including leading meetings and negotiations.

• Resolve patient issues arising from direct vendor-to-patient billing.

• Drive process enhancements, mentor junior staff, and contribute to strategic initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's Degree is required.

• A Master's Degree is preferred.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Accounting or Finance within a medical, clinical trial research, or healthcare-related setting.

• Advanced research and analytical skills for evaluating financial data.

• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel (intermediate to advanced) and other financial systems.

• Proficiency in interpreting and analyzing complex contractual language and budgets.

• Relevant certifications such as Certified Professional Coder or Certified Revenue Cycle Professional are advantageous.

• Must reside in the US.
