This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +5 more states.
• Prepare, evaluate, and negotiate financing agreements and contracts with third parties, consulting legal experts as necessary.
• Assess, revise, and manage standard agreements, including NDAs, online banking contracts, ACH service agreements, and wind-down letters.
• Review and authorize loan closing packages for disbursement.
• Examine promotional materials, disclosures, customer communications, and new product initiatives for compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
• Assist attorneys with legal documentation and contract management.
• Collaborate with business teams to collect information, identify potential issues, and streamline the legal review process.
• Oversee and coordinate responses to subpoenas and other legal inquiries.
• Provide support for litigation and bankruptcy matters, including document collection, tracking cases, collections, and managing records.
• Aid in the management of legal affairs, which includes maintaining case files, monitoring deadlines, and supporting reporting obligations.
• Support Legal and Compliance technology, processes, tools, and protocols.
• Assist with third-party risk management, vendor contracts, and associated governance tasks.
• Offer first-level technical support for key legal department systems and conduct introductory training for end users.
• Develop and collaborate with the Legal team on department presentations, focus meetings, and related initiatives.
• Participate in project management and process enhancement activities.
• Contribute to broader legal operations duties, including regulatory reviews, audits, and compliance projects.
• Promote Legal Operations initiatives, focusing on process improvement, technology utilization, knowledge management, and departmental scalability.
• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Over 5 years of relevant experience.
• Preference for experience in commercial and consumer lending, fintech, payments, sponsor banking, Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS), or other regulated financial service sectors.
• Preferred experience in supporting litigation, bankruptcy, and subpoena management.
