This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas.
• Capable of independently delivering or serving as the primary contact for intricate projects and requests.
• Functions as a technical escalation resource to support junior engineers.
• Takes the lead in capacity planning and hardware specification recommendations.
• Oversees all deployment and management tasks, including connector setup, custom rule creation, workflow configuration and development, as well as integration with third-party systems.
• Leads User Acceptance Testing and engineering efforts related to bug resolution.
• Facilitates knowledge transfer and provides post-production support as needed.
• Communicates effectively within the team.
• Enhances professional and technical expertise by participating in educational workshops, reviewing industry publications, building personal networks, and engaging in professional associations like ISSA.
• Achieves and maintains top-tier vendor certifications and accreditations.
• Completes administrative project tasks such as time and expense tracking, status updates, and project completion documentation.
• Contributes to Optiv communities with a focus on solution development.
• Creates and maintains runbooks and procedural documentation.
• A current PCNSE certification is mandatory for this position.
• Hands-on experience with the implementation of Palo Alto technologies, including Prisma Access, Prisma Cloud, and optionally Prisma Cortex.
• Practical experience with cloud service providers, particularly AWS, Azure, and optionally GCP.
• At least three (3) years of direct experience with Palo Alto technologies.
• Minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in Information Security within a consulting, vendor, or enterprise-level environment.
• Practical experience in InfoSec/Cyber implementations.
• Fully certified in one or more technological domains.
• Experience in a customer-facing or consulting role.
• Proven ability to mentor and lead junior team members.
