Senior OT Infrastructure – Modernization Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Czechia.

📋 Description

• Assist in the planning and implementation of brownfield OT migrations, infrastructure enhancements, and industrial modernization projects.

• Evaluate current industrial control, manufacturing, and laboratory settings, pinpointing technical dependencies, risks, and integration needs.

• Facilitate technical activities among engineering, IT, OT, cybersecurity teams, vendors, and service providers.

• Aid in the integration of legacy and vendor-managed systems into a standardized enterprise infrastructure.

• Contribute to the design and execution of OT infrastructure, encompassing industrial networking, Active Directory, virtualization, Windows systems, and firewall-based LAN segmentation.

• Support secure OT architecture and network segmentation efforts in partnership with cybersecurity teams.

• Diagnose complex technical challenges and coordinate their resolution with internal teams and external partners.

• Keep technical documentation, migration plans, and implementation records up to date.

• Collaborate with quality and validation teams to meet GMP qualification and validation requirements as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in Operational Technology, Industrial Automation, Manufacturing IT/OT, Process Control, Laboratory Systems, or OT Cybersecurity.

• Proven experience in supporting brownfield OT migrations, infrastructure upgrades, or industrial modernization initiatives.

• Strong comprehension of industrial control systems, manufacturing systems, laboratory platforms, and related OT infrastructure.

• Experience collaborating with automation vendors, OEMs, system integrators, and engineering teams.

• Knowledge of industrial networking, Active Directory, virtualization, Windows systems, firewall-based LAN segmentation, and cybersecurity technologies.

• Excellent technical problem-solving abilities and skills in stakeholder engagement.

• Experience in coordinating intricate technical activities across various teams and service providers.

• Candidates must currently reside in Czechia at the time of application.

• Preferred: experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, life sciences, or regulated manufacturing sectors.

• Preferred: familiarity with SCADA, DCS, PLC, MES, laboratory systems, historian platforms, or manufacturing execution environments.

• Preferred: experience with OT network segmentation and secure architecture initiatives.

• Preferred: experience in integrating legacy and vendor-managed systems into a standardized enterprise infrastructure.

• Preferred: understanding of GMP qualification and validation processes.

• Preferred: experience within large global infrastructure or cybersecurity transformation programs.
