Senior Oracle Cloud Infrastructure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and architect scalable, resilient, and secure cloud solutions across Oracle Cloud infrastructure and other cloud platforms.

• Develop cloud strategies and roadmaps that align with organizational objectives and technical requirements.

• Evaluate emerging cloud technologies and assess their impact on organizational goals.

• Drive the adoption of DevOps practices, infrastructure as code, and automation frameworks.

• Optimize application performance and reliability within cloud environments.

• Design secure cloud architectures utilizing zero-trust principles and defense-in-depth strategies.

• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements, including SOC 2, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS.

• Implement and integrate identity and access management solutions along with security monitoring frameworks.

• Facilitate customer onboarding and create a consistent pathway to cloud adoption.

• Manage and optimize Oracle cloud environments, networking, VPNs, IaaS, PaaS, and SQL systems.

• Implement and maintain tools including Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, Jira, Confluence, Artifactory, and Guacamole.

• Containerize applications to enhance scalability and deployment efficiency.

• Support the design and development of Shared Services.

• Configure and troubleshoot cloud, virtual, and physical hardware and software systems.

• Establish and maintain SQL and NoSQL databases.

• Prepare technical documentation for development and operational processes.

• Conduct security assessments and remediate cloud vulnerabilities.

• Collaborate with development, operations, security, and product management teams.

• Create reference architectures, design patterns, and technical standards.

• Partner with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.

• Present architectural designs and recommendations to executive leadership.

• Mentor, guide, and supervise teams of up to five engineers and technical specialists.

• Lead architectural reviews and provide advice on complex technical decisions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree with 8+ years of relevant experience; Master’s Degree with 6+ years of relevant experience; additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

• An active Secret clearance is required.

• US citizenship is mandatory.

• CompTIA Security+ or an equivalent (IAT-2) certification is required.

• Exceptional customer service skills, with experience in a customer-facing role.

• Experience in administering Windows and Linux Servers along with related services.

• Strong understanding of Active Directory, Azure AD, SAML, and related standards, procedures, and processes.

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

• Familiarity with Ansible, Oracle console, Elastic, Jira, Confluence, Git, and various OCI SaaS offerings.

• Experience onboarding customer log data from cloud platforms to on-premises or cloud-based analysis environments, such as Elastic or Splunk.

• Preferred: Experience with USAF Cloud One or Platform 1.

• Preferred: Experience with Zero Trust Architecture.

• Preferred: 4+ years of previous experience managing or leading teams/projects.
