Cloud Engineer III

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create and implement robust cloud solutions utilizing Cloud.gov and Azure to meet client requirements

• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure effective integration of cloud technologies

• Oversee and enhance the performance and availability of cloud infrastructure

• Establish and uphold security protocols to safeguard cloud environments

• Streamline operational tasks to boost the efficiency and scalability of cloud systems

• Assist client needs in Cloud.gov and Azure settings with minimal guidance from leadership

• Contribute to the long-term vision and development strategy of the program

• Design, execute, automate, and maintain cloud-based infrastructure customized to client specifications

• Engage with clients, engineers, and other technical stakeholders

• Develop capabilities, deliver solutions, modernize legacy systems, and build digital service infrastructure for federal agencies

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of practical experience with cloud platforms, such as AWS, Cloud.gov, or Azure

• In-depth understanding of networking principles, protocols, and security measures

• Advanced expertise in infrastructure as code tools, including Terraform

• Strong analytical skills and a proven track record in effectively resolving complex technical challenges

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent relevant professional experience in lieu of a degree

• Must be a U.S. Citizen

• Capability to successfully complete and maintain the necessary federal Public Trust background investigation and suitability determination

• Familiarity with Cloud.gov and Azure platforms is preferred

• Relevant industry certifications, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Azure Administrator, are preferred

• Proficiency in Docker and Kubernetes is preferred

• Advanced knowledge of DevOps practices and tools is highly desirable

• Experience working directly with clients, engineers, and other technical stakeholders

• Background in supporting government or federal programs
