Senior Operations Data Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Develop new data models, ETL/API integrations, and assist with applications, including Foundry.

• Oversee the OPSDB platform, ensuring sync reliability, alerting, and providing production support.

• Take responsibility for data quality and the upkeep of the platform.

• Manage governance and technical debt, which includes RBAC, scoped roles, dbt semantic layer, and documentation.

• Assist Mingomba through commitments-register initiatives and coordinate with Procurement, Inventory, and other functional areas.

• Offer mentorship to peers and support the professional development of junior analysts.

• Manage systems comprehensively, covering the data model, ETL processes, applications, and relationships with stakeholders.

• Work closely with the broader team and functional stakeholders on a daily basis.

• Report directly to the Head of Operations Data.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or data operations managing production systems independently.

• Proficient in SQL and data modeling, specifically with PostgreSQL.

• Demonstrated expertise in ETL and API integration.

• Experience and comfort with AI technologies (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, etc.).

• A strong intellectual curiosity and a desire to learn about all facets of mineral exploration, particularly in geology.

• Willingness to collaborate directly with geologists in the field.

• Capability to articulate technical challenges and collaborate on solutions with non-technical domain experts.

• Excellent communication and cross-company collaboration abilities.

• Enthusiasm for joining a rapidly growing early-stage company and adaptability to a dynamic work environment.

• Willingness to embrace an evolving array of responsibilities.

• Interest in aligning technical products with business goals.

• A valid passport.

• Openness to travel to Mingomba or exploration sites globally.

• Light travel as needed.
