Senior Observability Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North America.

📋 Description

• Oversee the deployment and maintenance of monitoring and alerting systems.

• Design, configure, and maintain a large-scale log aggregation solution.

• Establish and manage ingestion pipelines along with data transformation processes.

• Develop and sustain reliable monitoring systems utilizing tools such as Elk, Dynatrace, Prometheus, OTEL, and Grafana.

• Keep relevant documentation updated to meet audit and certification standards.

• Engage in troubleshooting, capacity planning, and performance analysis tasks.

• Explore new monitoring needs and, in many instances, write code to address them.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

• At least 3 years of experience working with monitoring tools in an Admin, Subject Matter Expert, or Architect capacity.

• Practical experience in designing data pipelines using Filebeat, Logstash, and/or Fluent Bit/Fluentd.

• Proficient in either Dynatrace or Elastic at an expert level.

• Skilled in scripting with Python and either Bash or PowerShell.

• Familiarity with Terraform and Ansible.

• Solid working knowledge of Linux operating systems.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
