This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Serve as the technical and functional reference point for the Datadog platform within the organization.
• Design, implement, and enhance observability solutions utilizing APM, Infrastructure Monitoring, Logs Management, Dashboards, RUM, Synthetic Monitoring, and Continuous Testing.
• Establish corporate observability standards for applications, APIs, microservices, and cloud workloads.
• Create and maintain executive, operational, and analytical dashboards.
• Develop proactive monitoring strategies based on SLIs, SLOs, SLAs, and business metrics.
• Create, evaluate, and optimize monitors and smart alerts to minimize operational noise and false positives.
• Assist in application instrumentation using OpenTelemetry and native Datadog integrations.
• Lead root cause analysis for critical incidents and recommend preventive measures.
• Identify opportunities for automation, failure prediction, and self-healing.
• Produce training materials, playbooks, standards, and documentation on Datadog.
• Regularly assess capacity, performance, availability, and end-user experience.
• Foster a culture of observability and operational excellence.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Architecture, Development, SRE, and Operations to identify risks early and reduce incidents.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related fields.
• Extensive experience with Datadog in implementing, administering, and evolving the platform.
• Practical experience with Datadog APM, Infrastructure Monitoring, Logs Management, Dashboards, Monitors, and Monitoring Service Catalog.
• Advanced understanding of logs, metrics, and distributed tracing.
• Experience in observability for APIs and microservices architectures.
• Familiarity with AWS environments.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and investigate complex incidents.
• Knowledge of OpenTelemetry and application instrumentation.
• Automation skills in Python, Shell Script, or PowerShell.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud-native ecosystems.
• Strong grasp of system availability, performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Ability to translate technical metrics into business impact.
• Datadog Certified Associate certification or higher (preferred).
• Experience with SRE practices (preferred).
• Knowledge of CI/CD and DevSecOps (preferred).
• Experience with Dynatrace, Grafana, Prometheus, Elastic Stack, or Zabbix (preferred).
