Senior NX CAD Application Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as a senior subject matter expert for Siemens NX CAD and its best practices.

• Investigate and utilize AI to develop proactive solutions that enhance engineering workflows and customer results.

• Participate in automation and customization projects through NX Open, journaling, scripting, and other relevant technologies.

• Engage in presales activities, encompassing discovery sessions, technical presentations, demonstrations, solution definition, and proposals.

• Assume technical ownership of customer interactions.

• Coordinate tasks, resolve issues, and guarantee positive customer outcomes.

• Collaborate with experts across PLM, software development, simulation, manufacturing, and AI.

• Establish trustworthy relationships with customers and gain insights into their engineering challenges.

• Proactively assist customers in identifying effective solutions.

• Provide NX CAD consulting services and technical training.

• Mentor and support engineers involved in NX-related initiatives.

• Serve as a senior technical anchor for NX within the US team.

• Integrate CAD expertise with automation, PLM, software, and emerging technologies to resolve customer issues.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of industrial experience with Siemens NX CAD, including product design and configuring and administering NX environments.

• Mandatory ability to work with USA ITAR materials.

• Interest in utilizing AI and emerging technologies in engineering and product development workflows.

• Experience collaborating directly with customers or internal engineering stakeholders in a consulting, application engineering, technical support, or similar capacity.

• Strong troubleshooting skills for complex problems that go beyond standard user-level functionality.

• Capability to navigate unfamiliar technical challenges.

• A strong sense of ownership, taking customer issues from initial discussion to resolution.

• Experience leading technical activities, work packages, or customer projects.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities.

• Proven ability to build credibility with technical specialists and customer stakeholders.

• Ability to work independently while collaborating with multidisciplinary and geographically dispersed teams.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed.

• Familiarity with NX Open, NX journaling, or NX automation/customization is a plus.

• Background in scripting or programming languages such as Python, TCL, C#, C++, or similar technologies is advantageous.

• Exposure to Teamcenter or other PLM systems is beneficial.

• Experience with NX CAM, NX Post Builder, Siemens Post Configurator, or related manufacturing tools is desirable.

• Proficiency in Solid Edge or other commercial CAD platforms is a plus.

• Experience in delivering or supporting design automation solutions is advantageous.

• Experience mentoring engineers or informally leading technical teams is beneficial.

• Familiarity with additive manufacturing or other advanced manufacturing technologies is a plus.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship, now or in the future.
