Senior Nuclear Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist with engineering tasks related to EPU and MUR projects, which include modifications to the plant, technical assessments, and evaluations of system performance.

• Conduct and assess engineering calculations, analyses, design documentation, and technical reports that support the operations of nuclear plants and initiatives for power uprate.

• Analyze electrical, I&C, reactor, and plant systems to determine the potential effects of engineering modifications.

• Work collaboratively with teams across various disciplines, including engineering, licensing, and operations, to fulfill technical requirements, ensure regulatory compliance, and facilitate project implementation.

• Offer technical expertise in evaluating engineering changes, addressing technical challenges, and promoting the safe and reliable operation of nuclear plants.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering field.

• Approximately 10 to 14 years of engineering experience, ideally within the realm of commercial nuclear power generation.

• Experience in supporting Extended Power Uprate (EPU) or Measurement Uncertainty Recapture (MUR) projects.

• A solid technical foundation in one or more of the following areas: Nuclear Systems, Electrical, I&C, Reactor Engineering, or Nuclear Licensing.

• Proven experience with nuclear plant modifications, engineering evaluations, technical analyses, or design documentation.

• Nuclear systems engineering or operations experience within a plant is strongly preferred.

• Knowledge of nuclear industry regulations, engineering standards, and requirements for plant design is necessary.

• Preference will be given to candidates with a consistent employment record and a demonstrated commitment to long-term engineering projects.

• Completion of Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification is required upon hire.
