Ignition Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain SCADA and HMI applications utilizing Ignition.

• Integrate data from PLCs and plant floor equipment into Ignition and production databases.

• Create dashboards, reports, and production monitoring tools including OEE, downtime, and traceability metrics.

• Develop Python scripts and SQL queries to process and structure production data.

• Work collaboratively with PLC Engineers and Dash technical leads to fulfill customer project requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of practical experience in developing SCADA / HMI applications with Ignition (Perspective).

• At least 3 years of experience in Python scripting, preferably within the Ignition environment.

• Over 3 years of expertise in SQL (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL), with experience in data modeling for production data.

• Familiarity with connecting plant floor data to IT systems (OT and IT), using technologies such as Kepware, OPC UA, or MQTT.

• Proficient understanding of HTML and CSS in relation to Ignition Perspective.

• Must be located in Mexico.
