Senior Network WAN Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership and enhance the enterprise WAN and SD-WAN ecosystem, guaranteeing reliable, high-performance connectivity across multiple locations and essential business functions.

• Act as the principal technical escalation contact for intricate WAN and routing challenges, spearheading root-cause analysis and restoring services within extensive, multi-site production networks.

• Propel the ongoing enhancement of the network platform through SD-WAN optimization, upgrades, migrations, and operational advancements within Cisco Meraki and Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN environments.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent with 2 years of cumulative experience OR an Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree with 1 year of experience OR 5 years of relevant cumulative job-specific experience required.

• A minimum of 2 years of leadership or management experience is preferred.

• 8 to 10+ years of practical network engineering experience.

• Demonstrated experience in supporting large-scale, geographically diverse WAN environments.

• Expert-level knowledge of Cisco Meraki SD-WAN.

• Proficient in Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN (Viptela).

• Extensive expertise in routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, route redistribution, and policy control.

• Skilled in WAN operations, failover, and traffic optimization.

• Proven ability to diagnose complex, multi-site network issues under pressure.

• Experience in mission-critical, high-availability environments.

• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification is required.

• Additional certifications are highly preferred, such as Cisco SD-WAN Specialist/Concentration exams and CCIE (Enterprise Infrastructure).
