Senior Network & Telecom Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Thailand.

📋 Description

• Assist the Google Regional Project Manager and Senior Project Manager in technical fitout projects for data centres.

• Serve as the secondary technical liaison for local teams, facilitating connections between Engineering and IT Operations for project deployments in Thailand.

• Support the Regional Project Manager in overseeing the entire process from planning to the handover of fit-out work on-site.

• Address technical issues swiftly or escalate them as needed.

• Ensure that all work is conducted safely and meets high standards of craftsmanship.

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders regarding specifications, ordering materials and equipment, approvals, and deployment strategies.

• Monitor and report on key milestones from the start of the technical fit-out to the completion and transition to Operations.

• Organize and lead weekly management and site meetings with general contractors, architects, engineers, and telecom contractors.

• Coordinate with local construction project managers to synchronize priorities and site management efforts.

• Manage the ordering, delivery, and storage of owner-purchased materials and components essential for data centre setups.

• Review and monitor contractor deliverables.

• Conduct inspections, surveys, and regular site visits.

• Maintain checklists and trackers, identify punch items, and ensure punch-list resolution.

• Supervise OSP/ISP cable pathways, building points of entry, (C)CCNR/SSNR, IDF rooms, and server floors.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient technical understanding of OSP/ISP cable pathways.

• Familiarity with building points of entry (POEs).

• Knowledge of (C)CCNR/SSNR systems.

• Understanding of IDF rooms and server floor setups.

• Capability to support technical fit-out projects for data centres.

• Skill in coordinating between Engineering, IT Operations, construction, and telecom contractor teams.

• Ability to monitor project milestones, contractor outputs, and punch-list resolution.

• Competence in conducting inspections, surveys, and site walks.

• Proficiency in managing the ordering, delivery, and storage of materials and parts.

• Aptitude for resolving technical issues and escalating them as necessary.
