Senior Network Platform Engineer, AWS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Design and oversee AWS networking components, including VPCs, Security Groups, Transit Gateway, PrivateLink, and DNS Firewalls

• Configure, manage, and scale Kubernetes clusters

• Implement and enhance Cilium, CNIs, Egress Gateway, and Network Policies

• Create reusable Terraform modules and automate the deployment of infrastructure

• Conduct performance testing and optimization of Kubernetes-native networking elements

• Develop Kubernetes controllers/operators utilizing Go

• Establish monitoring and alerting solutions through Grafana and Prometheus

• Work collaboratively with platform, SRE, security, and engineering teams

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in Kubernetes administration and networking

• In-depth understanding of AWS networking services

• Practical expertise in Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code

• Familiarity with Cilium and Kubernetes Network Policies

• Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning abilities are essential

• Experience in Golang development is advantageous

• Knowledge of the Grafana and Prometheus observability stack is beneficial

• Familiarity with Amazon EKS is a plus

• Advanced eBPF/Cilium networking skills are desirable

• Experience with ArgoCD or Flux (GitOps) is a plus

• CKA/CKS certifications are an asset

• AWS Networking or Solutions Architect certifications are advantageous

• Experience with AI-assisted engineering tools like Claude is a plus
